I earned my doctorate at Doshisha University, where I studied the relation between freedom of speech and religious censorship. My recent research interests include church and state, global migration, and ecumenism.
I have been an active member of the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA), the World Council of Churches (WCC), and the Congress of Asian Theologians (CATS).
