My research focuses on Christian thought and Japanese Christian thinkers. In my doctoral dissertation, I critically examined Katsumi Takizawa's theories on interreligious dialogue and the emperor system. In recent years, I have also been researching the thought of Gien Kashiwagi, particularly the relationship between his "image of God" theory and his critique of nationalism.
